Volunteers will sew fidget blankets for elderly people who are suffering from alzheimers and/or dementia. Kids are welcomed if they know how to sew or knit. Please wear your Love Sacramento shirt.

What is a fidget blanket? It really doesn’t have to be a ‘quilt’ but the idea is: giving the fingers and hands something to do. These are great older people who have alzheimers, dementia, or need some help keeping busy. It’s all about texture and one must keep in mind that these articles must be able to withstand hot water as they’ll be washed frequently.

Snowline is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing life. We relieve the physical, emotional and spiritual setbacks of living with a serious chronic illness. And we manage the adjustments necessary when life is limited and treatments that cure are no longer viable. Compassion and dignity ride along with every Snowline team member as they go home to home in our neighborhoods to deliver treatment and support to patients and their families.
