American River Parkway River Clean-Up & BBQ

Join us as we float down and clean up the American River. Volunteers must be 8 years old or older and kids must float down the river with their parents. Please wear and bring sunscreen, hats, etc. Also, Everyone will need to wear a life vest (life vests will be available at the location). After floating down the river, there will be a BBQ for all the volunteers. Please wear swim shoes and Love Sacramento shirt.


The American River Parkway is a protected and sustainable natural resource to all.

The mission of the American River Parkway Foundation to support the preservation and enjoyment of the American River Parkway by fostering environmental education, stewardship and volunteer opportunities.

The American River Parkway is the Sacramento Region’s greatest recreational civic amenity. The Parkway includes the Lower American River, over thirty miles of meandering multi-use dirt trails, and one of the country’s best Class I bike paths. The Parkway Foundation is honored to act as one of the stewards through our work to maintain and improve this 4,800-acre natural resource.
